2018 Science On a Sphere® Users Collaborative Network Workshop
The last Science On a Sphere® (SOS) Users Collaborative Network Workshop was co-hosted by NOAA and the Science City, Union Station Kansas City (Kansas City, MO)offsite link from November 27-29, 2018. The workshop was based on presentations submitted from participants and facilitated the use of spherical display systems for providing science educational messages. Participation in this workshop was limited to members of the NOAA Science On a Sphere® Users Collaborative Network and invited groups who are working with the Network. Invitations to participate in the workshop are sent to all members.
There was no registration fee. However, all who attended the workshop, registered in advance. It is not required that all participants submit presentation proposals, although we do encourage submissions as the philosophy of the workshop is that it is based on the needs of the attendees. The hours for the SOS Workshop are:
- Tuesday, November 27, 1:00 pm – 5:30 pm, no lunch will be provided, optional happy hour gathering in evening
- Wednesday, November 28, 8:00 am – 5:30 pm, breakfast & lunch provided, evening reception with heavy hors d'oeuvres
- Thursday, November 29, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, breakfast & lunch provided
- Friday, November 30, 8:00 am - 10:30 am, optional field trip to National Weather Service Central Region Headquarters
