By getting involved with a citizen science program, you can help NOAA collect data that can help preserve and protect our planet. NOAA offers a broad range of programs you can participate in, ranging from counting whales to reporting your local weather. You can join an in-person project or choose one that you can participate in virtually from your computer or smartphone.

The Federal Crowdsourcing and Citizen Science Catalog includes projects from U.S. government agencies. Use the option to filter by agency, and select "National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration" to see NOAA projects.
