Professional and Technical (ProTech) services is a suite of contracting vehicles that consists of Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) multiple award contracts, multiple award and single award Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs), and other contract types organized into five Domains: Satellite, Fisheries, Oceans, and Weather.
The portfolio of ProTech contracts provide a full range of professional, scientific, and technical expertise to meet the mission needs of The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. NOAA is an agency that enriches life through science. Our reach goes from the surface of the sun to the depths of the ocean floor as we work to keep citizens informed of the changing environment around them. We provide environmental intelligence for the nation. From daily weather forecasts, severe storm warnings, and climate monitoring, to fisheries management, coastal restoration, and maintaining marine commerce, NOAA’s products and services support economic vitality and more than one-third of America’s gross domestic product. The people of NOAA use research and tools to provide citizens, planners, emergency managers, and other decision makers with reliable and timely environmental intelligence in the areas of Satellite, Fisheries, Weather, and Oceans.

ProTech-Satellite Domain enables the support for the acquisition, deployment, and ground system development/monitoring of satellites essential for forecasting the weather, analyzing environmental and climate phenomena, and monitoring hazards worldwide.
ProTech-Fisheries Domain acquires national and international fishery management support, marine observations, environmental data collection, ecosystem studies, associated data and information services, and various impact analyses for science-based conservation and management of fishing communities.
ProTech-Weather Domain will enable the National Weather Service to acquire services for weather data collection and weather modelling to protect life, property, and enhance the economy.
ProTech-Oceans Domain will enable the National Ocean Service to acquire services for scientific data collection and stewardship, geospatial mapping of coastal areas, and community outreach services to position America’s coastal communities for the future.
