Interagency partners
NOAA doesn’t fight wildfires on the fire line - we help the myriad local, state, national and tribal organizations that do by providing outlooks, forecasts, tools and analysis where they're needed, when they're needed. NOAA also collaborates with land management agencies, with federal science agencies, with state-funded groups, and academia to advance fire weather research and speed development of new products and tools to support planning, response and recovery.
NOAA is a member of the National Wildfire Coordinating Group.
