Sherman’s Lagoon cartoonist Jim Toomey loves the ocean. Over the years, he has lent his well-loved characters to help support NOAA's mission. NOAA even created a Silver Sherman Award to recognize our most dedicated staff. In this video, Jim pays tribute to our incredible NOAA workforce and our 50 years of science, service, and stewardship that would not have been possible without them.
