Designation of Critical Habitat for the Arctic Ringed Seal (ID419)

We are obtaining independent peer review of the following information that provides part of the basis for designating critical habitat for the Arctic ringed seal under the Endangered Species Act (ESA): (1) the available data on habitat uses and needs of Arctic ringed seals and the use and interpretation of this information in making conclusions regarding what areas meet the definition of critical habitat under the ESA; and (2) the draft impact analysis report for the revised proposed rule. This peer review will be conducted during the comment period on the revised proposed rule. The revised proposed rule announces revisions to the December 9, 2014, proposed designation of critical habitat for the Arctic ringed seal under the ESA.
