The Sixth International Marine Debris Conference, co-hosted by NOAA’s Marine Debris Program and the United Nations Environment Programme, will examine how marine debris can harm natural resources, human health, and national and local economies.
More than 700 attendees from over 50 countries will share lessons learned, promote international dialogue, exchange ideas, and discuss research methods and results. Expert researchers, managers, policy makers,and nongovernmental representatives will exchange ideas to help energize international action to more effectively address the growing issue of marine debris.
