NOAA and OMB provide guidance to financial assistance recipients during COVID-19

OMB M-21-20, Promoting Public Trust in the Federal Government through Effective Implementation of the American Rescue Plan Act and Stewardship of the Taxpayer Resources, Appendix 3: Disaster Relief Flexibilities to Reduce Burden for Financial Assistance.
This posting provides information on guidance set forth by the OMB Memorandum M-21-20, Promoting Public Trust in the Federal Government through Effective Implementation of the American Rescue Plan Act and Stewardship of the Taxpayer Resources, Appendix 3: Disaster Relief Flexibilities, which allows Federal awarding agencies the authority to grant exceptions to recipients affected by the pandemic, to the extent permitted by law. These exceptions are outlined in Appendix 3 - Disaster Relief Flexibilities to Reduce Burden for Financial Assistance of the memo.
The NOAA Guidance Regarding American Rescue Plan Disaster Relief Flexibilities to Reduce Burden for Financial Assistance explains how the NOAA Grants Management Division (GMD) and NOAA Program Offices will addresses subject, where needed, as outlined in the OMB Memorandum, M-21-20.
