Sound the Octo-Alert! The Coastal Ecosystem Learning Centers (CELC) network is re-launching NOAA and the Octonauts, a podcast that empowers adults to spark conversations with the kids in their lives about the Octonauts TV show offsite link and the creatures it features.

These all new episodes continue the podcast that first aired in 2019, highlighting sea creatures that the Octonauts heroes meet during the show. Guest interviewees from aquariums all across North America share their expertise, give listeners tips on how to best protect these animals, and answer questions about the science behind the show. Four new episodes will be released over the next four months, discussing exciting sea creatures — from fish that "fly" to some of the ocean's deepest divers.
The first episode of the new season launches next week featuring the speedy flying fish and an interview with educators from the Dauphin Island Sea Lab offsite link in Alabama. Make sure to check out the podcast website or stream from Apple offsite link or Spotify offsite link to listen to the teaser trailer and each of the new monthly episodes!
This podcast is part of a partnership between NOAA and the Octonauts led by NOAA Ocean Exploration. The Coastal Ecosystem Learning Centers (CELC) network is a consortium of 25 aquariums and marine science centers across North America. NOAA’s Office of Education manages this network, bringing institutions together to learn from each other and from the latest in NOAA science.
