How to Participate
The NOAA Voices Oral History Archives serves as a repository for individual or collections of oral histories produced by NOAA scientists and staff as well as collections created by external oral historians, researchers, research institutions, universities, libraries, and historical societies around the country. We also co-locate relevant collections housed in other repositories, increasing discoverability through proximity to related collections. Whether you have a completed collection or have one underway, reach out to and share your work with us. Our focus is on accessioning collections related to the NOAA Mission and providing technical support when possible to emerging projects.
If you have a collection that you would like to see included in the NOAA Voices archive, or if you are starting a collection that might be relevant, please submit this information. offsite link
If you are interested in conducting an oral history and would like additional information on how to get started, please see our NOAA Voices Oral History Guide as well as the Oral History Association offsite linkwebsite for best practices, and other relevant information.
