Trained personnel from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources responded to an entangled North Atlantic Right Whale in 2017 Permit 18786-02.

NOAA Fisheries will hold a media call to discuss a new national report on large whale entanglement statistics in the U.S. for 2017, as well as efforts by NOAA Fisheries and partners to organize authorized response efforts and learn more about entanglement threats to whales.
