Climate Resilience Regional Challenge

A total of $575 million in funding has been recommended across 19 projects that will invest in holistic, collaborative approaches to coastal resilience at regional scales. Funds will support climate resilience and adaptation actions that are appropriate to the plan, place, and people, and supported by NOAA technical assistance. It will include two funding tracks: Regional Collaborative Building and Strategy Development, and Implementation of Resilience and Adaptation Actions.

  • The Climate Resilience Regional Challenge funding opportunity was launched on June 20, 2023 and awards were announced on July 26, 2024. More information on projects recommended for funding is available on NOAA's Office for Coastal Management website.
