Marine Debris Art Contest open now through November 30th

October 25, 2017

Are you passionate about marine debris and would like to help address this problem? Then get your art supplies ready, because this year’s NOAA Marine Debris Program Art Contest is officially open!

The NOAA Marine Debris Program holds this annual art contest to reach K-8 students and help raise awareness about marine debris, one of the most significant problems our ocean faces today.

Now through November 30th, students in grades K-8 from all U.S. states and territories can submit their artwork that answers the questions:

  • How does marine debris impact the ocean and Great Lakes?
  • What are you doing to help prevent marine debris?

So get crafty, get creative, and help us raise awareness about marine debris! Winners will be featured in the 2019 Marine Debris Calendar! For a complete list of contest rules, visit the Marine Debris Program website and download the student entry form and art contest flyer.
