Lead for NOAA Living Marine Resources Cooperative Science Center awarded $500,000 National Science Foundation Grant

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore, lead institute for NOAA Living Marine Resources Cooperative Science Center (LMRCSC) received this grant to boost university efforts to reach out and engage high school students in careers in oceanography, atmospheric sciences and remote sensing. The award is an important example of how the NOAA Cooperative Science Centers leverage other funds to expand the reach and success of their programs.
