Soundings taken by the first USS ENTERPRISE exploration vessel under the command of Captain Albert S. Barker. This was the first U.S. ship to specificallycircumnavigate the globe on a sounding and temperature measuring expedition.Note the shoal area at approximately 29 N 34 W.
