This Environmental Assessment (EA) provides an analysis of potential environmental impacts associated with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Proposed Action that includes construction of a new pier, small boat floating dock, bulkhead, and shoreside facilities to support the relocation of four NOAA Atlantic Fleet research vessels at Naval Station (NAVSTA) Newport in Newport, Rhode Island. The results of the analysis provided within the EA conclude that the Proposed Action would have no significant impact on the environment, and that the preparation of an environmental impact statement is not required. Subsequently, a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) will be prepared.
