NOAA to discuss revised National Standard 1 guidelines for fisheries management

On Thursday, October 13, NOAA Fisheries will hold a media briefing to discuss the final revisions to the National Standard 1 and Related Guidelines of the Magnuson Stevens Act, which are an important part of sustainable fisheries management in the U.S. Experts will be available to discuss how the new guidelines will be used by federal fisheries managers as they update the nation’s marine fisheries plans.
